Introduction
I’m Ata. Software Engineer, based in the Amsterdam Area.
I’ve spent the last few years at Shell Recharge Solutions building serverless, event-driven systems in TypeScript on AWS, including a quarter as interim Tech Lead. Before that: full-stack work at Countly, a handful of short-term contracts, and the CTF competitions that show up all over this blog.
Right now I’m also building dailyprog, a daily coding puzzle site with an LLM-driven generation pipeline running against a sandboxed execution backend.
Contracting
I’m open to contract work: full-stack projects, serverless AWS builds, or short-term engineering sprints. My sweet spot is TypeScript end-to-end: event-driven backends on AWS (CDK, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Step Functions, SQS, EventBridge), React or Vue on the frontend, and whatever infra (Docker, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) sits in between.
I’ve done this before: I spent 2022 on a series of short-term contracts building data pipelines for solar sensor arrays, indoor mapping features for commercial apps, and a white-label crypto exchange platform. More recently at Shell Recharge I led the Payment Processor Provider integration for an EV charging service from discovery to launch. I can also do test automation (Playwright), LLM pipeline work (RAG, prompt engineering), and I’m comfortable picking up Ruby, Python, Go or Rust if the project needs it.
I’m based in Amsterdam and open to hearing what’s out there. If something interesting comes up, reach out.
