I’m Ata. Software Engineer, Amsterdam area.
I spent the last few years at Shell Recharge Solutions, building the backend of an EV charging service in TypeScript on AWS. Serverless, event-driven, the Lambda-and-queues way of doing things. I led the payment service provider integration from discovery to launch and spent a quarter as interim tech lead of the payments team. Before that: three years of full-stack work at Countly, a year of short-term contracts, and the CTF competitions this blog started out as write-ups for.
On the side I run dailyprog, a daily coding puzzle site where an LLM writes the puzzles and a sandbox checks solutions before anyone sees them.
What’s next
I’m open to whatever is out there for me: a role, contract work, or a friend to start something completely new. TypeScript end to end is my sweet spot, React or Vue in front, PostgreSQL or DynamoDB behind, CDK for the infra. I’ve done a year of contracting before: data pipelines for solar sensor arrays, indoor mapping for commercial apps, a white-label crypto exchange. Playwright test suites and LLM pipeline work (RAG, prompt engineering) are on the menu too, and I’ll pick up Ruby, Python, Go or Rust if that’s what the project is in.
